Owner and founder Alice Crews is an avid sailor herself with a huge passion for the sea. Recently setting up Crews Navigation, she wanted to offer enthusiasts like herself the chance to buy high-quality charts, books and guides from reputable brands.
Alice Crews recently set up Crews Navigation with the vision of being able to supply sailing enthusiasts like herself with high-quality nautical books, charts, guides and more from her online shop.
Alice has always had an affinity with the sea. When she was just 9 years old she began sailing. Her academic journey also culminated in a BSc Honours Degree in Ocean Science with Navigation. Since then, she has undertaken many marine endeavours, choosing to cross the Atlantic in 2003 and taking part in a variety of yacht races and competitions both single handed and crewed.
Alice then decided to join some local sailing clubs, where she started teaching yacht and dinghy sailing.
When she was 15, Alice gained the RYA Dinghy Sailing Instructor qualification and started teaching dinghy sailing. Achieving later, an RYA Senior Instructor status meant that she could share her passion with others. Her two young children are now also following in her watery footprints.
